ANALISA TINJAUAN YURIDIS KRIMINOLOGIS TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA PERJUDIAN SABUNG AYAM (Studi Tindak Pidana di Wilayah Hukum Polres Kota Kediri)

Writing this law aims to determine the causes of the crime of gambling, especially in cockfighting gambling in the jurisdiction of the City of Kediri and countermeasures carried out by law enforcement officials to minimize the crime of cockfighting gambling. This research was conducted in the jurisdiction of the city of Kediri by selecting the agencies related to this case, namely this research was carried out at the Kediri City Police. The data collection method used is the literature method and interviews and then the data obtained is analyzed descriptively qualitatively so that it reveals the expected results and conclusions on the problem. The results showed that there were factors that caused a crime, especially cockfighting gambling, which was obtained from the interviews, namely local cultural factors, economic factors, hobbies or habits, and weak legal awareness. Attempts are made to prevent and overcome the occurrence of the crime of cockfighting gambling in Kediri City with preventive efforts, namely efforts to prevent a crime or crime that will be committed for the first time by a person or group of people, such as conducting legal counselling against the community and conducting raids. Repressive Efforts, namely the police's efforts to deal with crimes after they occurred with the applicable legal process. In addition, community participation in the eradication of cockfighting gambling is expected. Because with the awareness in the community about the negative impacts of cockfighting gambling, it will have a positive effect on the community itself as well as reduce and hopefully eradicate the rampant crime of cockfighting gambling, especially in the jurisdiction of Kediri City
