TINDAKAN RASIONAL KONVERSI PEKERJAAN DARI PETANI KE INDUSTRI PARIWISATA DI KOTA BATU (Studi kasus di Dusun Krajan Desa Oro-Oro Ombo Kecamatan Batu Kota Batu)

This study aims to understand the conversion of work from farmers to the tourism industry. The village of Oro-Oro Ombo is one of the hamlets in Batu which is experiencing rapid development of tourism because of its location adjacent to various artificial tourist parks. This study looks at how rational actions of farmers who experience the conversion of work from farmers to the tourism industry. Previously, Oro-Oro Ombo was an agricultural area producing rice, corn, apple and cow's milk. Since the BNS tourist attractions have stimulated the community to take advantage of the tourism crowd by building tourism support facilities. The development of tourism has ultimately changed the people's livelihoods that were originally farmers into homestay, lodging, and restaurant entrepreneurs. This research uses a qualitative approach and this type of research is a case study. The results of the study there are 5 findings namely actions based on business opportunities, actions based on natural factors, rational actions of values and culture, rational actions of social change and social mobility, social change. The conclusion of the research was that farmers did not experience job conversion but experienced job diversification
