Recent regular research on medicinal plants is producing remarkable and significant results. Thus, there is lot of scope to find new outcomes from plants like Mirabilis jalapa - a plant which need more investigation in the area of medicine and medical science. The present study deals with the establishment of organoleptic microscopic and phytochemical profiling of Mirabilis jalapa leaves, along with hepatoprotective activity on leaf extract against CCL4. The total phenolic content was found to be 1.36 ± 0. 02 mg/gm of dried leaf extract equivalent to Gallic acid and flavonoids content of the extract was found to be 4.41± 0.02 mg/gm.
