Background: Dizziness is one of the main reasons why patients seek medical care in the United States. In Norway, about 10% of patients seeking medical care, have symptoms of dizziness. Dysfunction of the upper cervical column, and disturbances in afferent input from proprioceptors, is believed to be a cause of dizziness. Clinical practice today offers various types approaches to this problem. This study provides an example of a manual therapy approach, using manipulation and articulation of the upper cervical spine in the treatment of a patient with cervicogenic dizziness.
