Papers from the third international seminar on Ancient Arcadia, held at the Norwegian Institute at Athens, 7-10 May 2002The aim of the paper is to propose a new reading of the sanctuary of Asklepios in Alipheira, based principally on an extensive survey of the monuments still in situ following the excavations of the 1960s. Our observations pertain to the functions and dates of the individual buildings and their relations to one another, and within the larger context of the polis.
