The theme of this master thesis is students´ potential for enhanced learning capacity in lower secondary school. Increased focus on students´ achievement in school has been a leading factor in Norwegian school politics. A number of programs have been introduced in the same period and the department of education has proclaimed to renew the lower secondary school. The purpose is to increase students´ motivation and enhance learning and learning results in school. It is in this context my thesis is relevant.
