This paper details the implementation of a real-time system in the context of a digital power supply controller. Attention is primarily given to the software development of the project given its relevance to the concept of a real-time system. Having said that, the need for hard deadline tasks in this system is not very evident. As discussed later, the consequences of a missed deadline for most tasks in the system should be no more than an unreliable test sequence for the device under test (DUT).
