Mucormycosis is a fungal infection which is caused by the fungi of order Mucorales which is also called as zygomycosis. The structure of mucor consists of mycelium, hyphae, sporangiospore, columella, sporangium, spores and nucleus. The Mucorales cell wall composed of chitin and chitosan, glucuronic acid, glucan. The diagnosis of mucormycosis based on physical examination, medical history, symptoms and laboratory test when diagnosing mucormycosis and also by tissue biopsy, CT and MRI test. It is caused by to mucormyete molds. These may cause infection in central nervous system, face, eyes, lungs, sinuses.
