The present study was conducted following a quantitative approach, using a type of non-experimental study with a correlational cross-sectional design. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between teaching styles among transition grade teachers from two municipalities in Southwestern Antioquia, with personal features and the type of institution they work at. The population was made up of 25 teachers and 491 transition grade students. As an instrument for data collection, a DEVEMI questionnaire was used (Delgado, 1991).
