Ausentismo estudiantil a encuentros virtuales en tiempos de Pandemia COVID-19

Education in times of the COVID-19 pandemic produced a significant change for teachers, legal representatives and students, making the continuity of teaching and learning a challenge. The objective of this research is to determine the causes of school nonattendance to virtual encounters of students in the third year of high school in the morning and evening hours of the Educational Unit "April 16" in the city of Azogues, province of Cañar, in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a quantitative methodological approach, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional cohort, the population was made up of third year high school students, who were issued a survey validated by Cronbach's Alpha; based on the responses of the surveyed, the researcher proposes 3 important aspects: motivated teacher, motivating teacher, teacher trained with tools for video conferencing.La educación en tiempos de pandemia COVID-19, produjo un cambio de manera significativa tanto para docentes, representantes legales y estudiantes, convirtiéndose en un reto, la continuidad de la enseñanza y aprendizaje. La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar las causas del ausentismo escolar a los encuentros virtuales en tiempos de pandemia COVID-19 de los estudiantes del tercero de bachillerato de la jornada matutina y vespertina de la Unidad Educativa “16 de abril” de la ciudad de Azogues, provincia del Cañar. Mediante un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, no experimental y de cohorte transversal, la población estuvo conformada por los estudiantes del tercero de bachillerato, a quienes se les emitió una encuesta validada por Alfa de Cronbach, en torno a las respuestas de los encuestados conlleva al investigador a proponer 3 aspectos importantes: docente motivado, docente motivador, docente capacitado con herramientas para video conferencia
