THE ARCHIVAL FUND OF VALKA DICTRICT COUNCIL CULTURE DEPARTMENT IN THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF LATVIA REGIONAL STATE ARCHIVE OF VALMIERA: THE ARCHIVAL AND HISTORICAL VALUE OF THE DOCUMENTS (1950 – 1991)

The topic of the article: The archival fund of Valka district council Culture department in the national archives of Latvia regional state archive of Valmiera: The archival and historical value of the documents (1950 – 1991). The documents of Valka district council Culture department are stored in regional state archive of Valmiera. The documents reveal the activities of Culture department including the culture clubs, libraries, museums, district clubs, musical schools, cinemas in the soviet times. Up to now these documents of this fond are not being investigated and analyzed therefore the aim of the work is to investigate these Valka Culture department fund documents, in order to define their archival and historical value, as well as to clarify the possibilities of use of these documents
