Equipping Advocates for Quality in Early Childhood Education

A nationwide concern in the United States is a lack of quality early care and education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. As research continues to point to the benefits of this quality, programs and policies must support increased quality and accessibility. Because of the lack of practical tools and training in advocacy skills for early childhood educators, many in the field feel unequipped to become influential advocates for improved programs and policies in legislation. With access to useful tools and resources, personal advocacy can become a priority of many educators. An increase of passionate and effective efforts by equipped advocates creates potential for amplified awareness and positive prioritization of early childhood education issues by communities and policymakers
