As Figure 1 shows, they represent 21% of the city’s population, nearly twice the Latino share of the state\u27s overall population. New Bedford is geographically located in the South Coast region, which has a relatively small share of Latinos (7%). The city is majority White (60%), with Blacks making up 6% and Asians 2% of the city’s population
