The article proposes a critical debate about the prejudiced separation between the knowledge of the academy or instituted science and the local knowledge of populations from different cultures and social organizations far from the surrounding society. From the ethnography of knowledge, the registered field material must be analyzed, already in the academy, by interdisciplinary interaction of researchers from different disciplinary areas.
