There is more evidence today than ever before showing that high-quality preschool education benefits children greatly. Research indicates that it can enhance children\u27s cognitive abilities, reduce poverty, and create a foundation for lifelong learning. Unfortunately, the United States is behind many industrialized countries in providing this form of education. In addition, low-income children are more likely to be enrolled in low-quality programs or not enrolled in preschool at all. This study consists of an analysis of research on early education.
