Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is one of the technology components proposed under Long Term Evolution - Advanced (LTE-A) which reuses the cellular spectrum to increase the spectral efficiency of the network. In this paper, we investigated existing interference management schemes and analyzed the D2D communication in the cellular network. We simulated and developed an algorithm for D2D pairs to efficiently use the unlicensed and licensed spectrum based on the distance between D2D links. We focused on investigating the D2D communication underlaying cellular networks, developed and proposed a novel radio resource allocation algorithm for minimizing the interference and establishing the D2D links using Hungarian minimization/maximization ...
