The Department of Human Development, Family Living and Community Educational Service began operation in September 1970 as an instructional unit within the School of Home Economics. Courses offered by the Department were in home economics education, child development, and family relationships. Other programs in research and service to the school, community, and state were also initiated at that time.This collection includes minutes of the department meetings, records of departmental committees, correspondence of the chair, by-laws and policies, position descriptions, records of the Child and Family Study Center, academic program records of the programs affiliated with HDFLCES, and miscellaneous materials
