Department of Biology Seminar this Friday, March 12, 2021 at 3:00 pm on Zoom; Speaker: Brian Sullivan, Professor at Arizona State University; Hosted by: Dr. Joanne Itami; Friday March 12, 2021; This seminar is on Zoom at 3:00 p.m.; We encourage you to join us at https://z.umn.edu/scsefriday at 3:00 PMThe spatial and behavioral ecology of a population of Sonoran Desert Tortoises (= SDTs; Gopherus morafkai) was documented over a ten year period (2010-2020). The study population occupied the eastern slopes and washes of the southern Union Hills on the northeast edge of the Phoenix Metropolitan Region. Consequently, it has experienced a long history of anthropogenic impacts, including mining, grazing, off-road vehicle activity, and dam construc...
