Předmětem zkoumání této bakalářské práce je analýza života plzeňského skladatele, hudebního kritika a učitele Josefa Bartovského (1884-1964). Ve studii je dále zpracováno skladatelovo hudební dílo. Následně se práce zabývá jeho pedagogickým a literárním dílem.
