The Importance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for the Diagnosis of Orbital Pathology, with Focus on Orbital Expansion

Tato bakalářská práce na téma Význam magnetické rezonance v diagnostice patologií orbity se zaměřením na orbitální expanze se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část zahrnuje podrobnější anatomii orbity, patologické procesy se zaměřením na orbitální expanze a diagnostiku těchto orbitálních expanzí všemi zobrazovacími metodami, které jsou v dnešní době v této problematice využívány. V závěru teoretické části, věnované podrobněji magnetické rezonanci, je uveden vyšetřovací protokol, užívaný při MR zobrazení orbit a nejčastěji používané sekvence, které se v diagnostice patologických procesů orbity užívají. Praktická část sestává z pěti kazuistik, je tedy kvalitativním výzkumem. Na základě těchto kazuistik je poté posouzen přínos magnetické rezonance v diagnostice orbitálních expanzí.ObhájenoThe Diploma Thesis "The Importance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for the Diagnosis of Orbital Pathology, with Focus on Orbital Expansion" comprises a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretic part deals with detailed orbital anatomy, pathological processes focused on orbital expansions and diagnostics of such orbital expansions by all imaging methods that are nowadays used for these diseases. The theoretical part is finished with detailed description of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) method and includes also an Orbit Examination Protocol and mostly used sequences that are typical and common for orbital pathology diagnostics. The practical part of the Diploma Thesis includes five case studies, therefore represents a qualitative research. Benefits of using the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) method for the diagnosis of orbital expansions is then reviewed and judged based on the stated case studies herein
