With the understanding that videogames have become a powerful resource not only for entertainment but also as an educational resource for foreign language teaching today, the objective of this study was to examine the use of the videogame Broken Sword for the teaching of French as a second language in a higher education setting. To assess the suitability of the video game as a foreign language teaching tool, a quantitative methodology based on a 22-item ad hoc questionnaire was used, through which we collected the assessment of the students.
