Handmade: My Grandmother’s Hands Photolithography print and blockprint 9 in. x 9 in. and 9 in. x 12 in. 2021 “My love for cooking started at an early age when my mother let me stand in a chair and stir batter of a cake she was making. This was one of my favorite memories! As I got older during my youth and teen age, my sisters and I were always in the kitchen helping with the food. I was always fascinated with recipes and cookbooks; it sort of became a hobby of mine. I loved sharing them with my family and friends. We had a lot of relatives and friends and we always enjoyed getting together for food and fun! We still do! After I graduated from high school and business school, I started my career. A few years later I met the man of my dreams and we got married. We have been married for 54 years, and he has been eating my cooking and he never complains! We were blessed with two sons, Scott and Stan. Scott finished high school and college. He is married to Laura and we have been blessed with 2 grandchildren! Caleb and Stephanie. They are both through school and college. My youngest son Stan passed about at 18 with leukemia. He loved my cooking while he was on Earth. I am 84 years old and still cook every day.
