Análisis de la industria turística en el Ecuador bajo el modelo Imput-Output, 2015-2018

Tourism, one of the most relevant economic and cultural activities nationally and globally, has generated a development aimed at an extensive portfolio of services, dissemination and promotion of the attributes of each tourist place. The purpose of this research is to characterize the behavior of tourist companies that belong to the tourism sector, determining factors associated with the cost structure and differentiation of tourism management models in Ecuador, which is based on the review of 7 scientific articles related to the study of the tourist sector and analysis of financial indicators. The methodology implemented is descriptive and statistical inference, calculating financial ratios for each of the companies that are recorded in the tourism cadastre and thereby developing the Input - Output model. The results indicate a financial stability in the companies involved. Additionally, the Input-Output analysis determined that tourism investments have progress in production, gross added value and employment; highlighting the industries of "Food and Beverage Service", "Professional, Technical and Administrative Activities" and "Transportation and Storage"; such as those that generated a great economic contribution in the country.El turismo, una de las actividades económicas y culturales de mayor relevancia a nivel local y mundial, ha generado un desarrollo encaminado en un extenso portafolio de servicios, difusión y promoción de los atributos de cada lugar turístico. Esta investigación tiene como propósito caracterizar el comportamiento de las empresas que pertenecen al sector turístico, determinando factores asociados a la estructura de costos y diferenciación de modelos de gestión turística en el Ecuador, la cual tiene como fundamento la revisión de 7 artículos científicos relacionados con el estudio del sector en mención y análisis de indicadores financieros. La metodología que se implementa es de carácter descriptivo y de inferencia estadística, realizando cálculos de ratios financieros para cada una de las empresas que constan en el catastro turístico y con ello desarrollar el modelo Input - Output. Sus resultados manifestaron estabilidad financiera en las empresas involucradas. Adicional, mediante el análisis Input-Output, se determinó que las inversiones turísticas tienen un progreso en producción, valor agregado bruto y empleo; destacando a las industrias de “Servicio de Alimento y Bebida”, “Actividades profesionales, técnicas y administrativas” y “Transporte y Almacenamiento”; como aquellas que generaron un gran aporte económico en el país
