Abstract Human Resources is a determinant of the success of the industry, especially in the service sector. Hospitals as a service industry need a strategy to motivate employees to show the best performance. The purpose of this study was to do an empirical comparison between the work motivation of employees at Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital, which provides a religious development program for its employees, and employees at Dr. RSJD.
