Efecto de las micorrizas arbusculares sobre la fase inicial de crecimiento de Zea mays L

The experimental work was carried out in the areas belonging to the agriculturalproduction cooperative Augusto César Sandino de La Palma, Pinar del Río, Cuba, with the aim of evaluating the effect of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi G. cubenses and G. intraradices, in the initial growth phase of the Z. mays crop, using a Pardo clay soil with a fine texture, from the cooperative itself. To set up the experiment, a completely randomized design with four repetitions was used. The variables of growth, phytomass and nutrients in the crops were evaluated, as well as the percentages of colonization and visual density of the AMF species studied. The results showed that the highest the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi efficiency - plant, in terms of colonization percentages and visual density, was obtained with G. cubenses, as well as the applied arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi strains show a favorable behavior in the evaluated indicators respectively, achieving height increases and diameter of the stem in the plants, without the need to apply fertilizers during the first 45 days after the seeds germinate.El trabajo experimental se realizó en las áreas pertenecientes a la Cooperativa de Producción Agropecuaria Augusto César Sandino de La Palma, Pinar del Río, Cuba, con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de los hongos micorrizógenos arbusculares G. cubenses y G. intraradices, en la fase inicial de crecimiento del cultivo de Z. mays, utilizando un suelo Pardo arcilloso de textura fina, procedente de la propia cooperativa. Para el montaje del experimento se empleó un diseño completamente aleatorizado con cuatro repeticiones. Se evaluaron las variables de crecimiento, fitomasa y nutrientes en los cultivos, así como los porcientos de colonización y densidad visual de las especies de hongos estudiados. Los resultados demostraron que la mayor eficiencia de hongos micorrízicos arbúsculares - planta, en cuanto a los por cientos de colonización y densidad visual, se obtuvo con G. cubenses, así como las cepas de hongo micorrízicos arbusculares aplicadas muestran un comportamiento favorable en los indicadores evaluados respectivamente, logrando incrementos de altura y diámetro del tallo en las plantas, sin necesidad de aplicar fertilizantes durante los primeros 45 días después de germinadas las semillas
