Background and Aim: Chronic skin ulceration is a common and painful condition that affects about 15% of patients with diabetes worldwide. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expressions of heat shock protein 90 (HSP 90), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the skin of diabetic rats. Materials and Methods: A total of 20 rats were divided randomly into two equal groups. Diabetes mellitus (DM) was induced in the rats of Group 2, whereas the rats in Group 1 were kept healthy and served as control.
