Abstract: Students have numerous challenges when trying to communicate in a foreign language, particularly English. One of the impediments is shyness, which is a psychological issue. The goal of this study is to determine the level of shyness among students and to discover the elements that contribute to their shyness when giving a proposal presentation. The McCroskey's Shyness Scale was used to assess students' levels of shyness. Thirty-seven students took part in the study. It has 14 questions on a five-point Likert scale. Only 19 percent of pupils scored in the “low” range, indicating that they are having difficulty overcoming their shyness.
