El conocimiento tácito en la filosofía de la ciencia de Thomas Kuhn.

The article focuses on a fundamental piece of the theoretical framework where the work ofThomas Kuhn develops, tacit knowledge. The importance of such a kind of knowledge, that is notpossible (nor necessary) to reduce into rules and definitions, and that is not acquired with exclusiverecourse to logic is essential for Kuhn within Science. The article investigates the origins of this idea inkuhnian work, searching for influences exerted by Gestalt psychology and the second Wittgenstein. Itexamines the relation between this idea and Kuhn’s most known and important philosophicalcontributions, the concept of paradigm (exemplar) and the incommensurability of scientific theories;confirming that without the utilization of a kind of knowledge of this nature such ideas would not havehad the necessary support to be stated. At the end of the article, the importance of tacit knowledgethrough the use of metaphor and thought experiments is revised, as vehicles through which the scientistcan put himself in touch with this dimension of knowledge.El artículo se centra en una pieza fundamental del entramado teórico de la filosofía de la ciencia de Thomas Kuhn, el conocimiento tácito. La importancia de un tipo de conocimiento que no es posible (ni necesario) reducir a reglas ni definiciones y que no es adquirido con recurso exclusivo a la lógica es esencial para Kuhn dentro de la Ciencia. El artículo indaga en los orígenes de esta idea en el pensamiento kuhniano, rastreando las influencias ejercidas en este aspecto por la psicología de la Gestalt y el segundo Wittgenstein. Examina la relación de esta idea con los aportes filosóficos de Kuhn más conocidos y divulgados, a saber, el concepto de paradigma (ejemplar) y la caracterización de las fases de desarrollo científico conocidas como ciencia normal y revolución científica; confirmando que sin la utilización de un tipo de conocimiento de esta naturaleza dichas ideas no hubiesen tenido el fundamento necesario para ser enunciadas. Para finalizar, se revisa la importancia del conocimiento tácito a través del uso de la metáfora y de los experimentos imaginarios en la ciencia, como vehículos mediante el cual el científico puede ponerse en contacto con esta dimensión de su conocimient
