ABSTRACTSargassum sp. is a brown algae that has economic value from its alginate content. Alginate is used as a raw material for the food processing industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and laboratory materials. Sargassum sp. currently not cultivated and are still taken freely in marine waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of Sargassum sp. cultivated at different planting depths using the longline method. The research method used is an experimental method with different depth treatments, namely P1 (100 cm), P2 (70 cm), P3 (50 cm), and P4 (25 cm), each treatment was repeated 4 times.
