Konfliktopplevelser på arbeidsplassen: En Q-metodisk undersøkelse om opplevelsen av konflikt i relasjon til andre på arbeidsplassen

The purpose of this study is to articulate some of the things that occur in a group of individuals when they are in conflict at their workplace Experts in Team, NTNU. In the belief that an increased awareness can bring new discoveries, perspectives and insight into oneself and individuals to surround themselves. Seen form a counseling perspectiv my intention for the study is to contribute to increase awareness among counselors and clients about what they see, feel and think in and about conflict situations. By increasing awareness, it is possible for both client and counselor to discover new aspects of themselves as individuals in relation to others ( Macmurray, 1961/1999 ). The study builds on the problem formulation; "How is conflicts experienced in relation to others ? "- A Q-methodological study of the experience of conflict in the workplace Experts in Team. As it is stated in the problem formulation, the empirical research material is obtained through the use of Q-methodology, there where 18 employees Experts in Team that conducted a Q-sort each. The participants sorted a total of 54 statements, based on their subjective experience of being in conflict at their workplace. So it`s the research participants' subjective experience that is basis for the sorting process, through factor analysis of the empirical material I came up with three factors that describes their experience. The first factor focuses on understanding, respect and the importance of safe intimate relationships in conflict. The second factor also conveys the importance of understanding and respect, while factor emphasizes the naturalness of the feeling anger in conflict situations. The third factor also highlights understanding and respect, and emphasizes the importance of this in order to arrive at a solution to the conflict. The findings are discussed from several perspectives and seen in the context of relevant theory in the counselling field
