The Implication (IMPLY) and Inhibition (INHIB) Boolean logic gates were realized using switchable chimeric pyrroloquinoline quinone-dependent glucose dehydrogenase (PQQ-GDH-Clamp) containing a fused affinity clamp unit recognizing a signal-peptide. The second component of the logic gate was the wild-type PQQ-glucose dehydrogenase working cooperatively with the PQQ-GDH-Clamp enzyme. The IMPLY and INHIB gates were realized using the same enzyme composition activated with differently defined input signals, thus representing reconfigurable logic systems.
