Aims: This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) as an adjunct treatment for patients with non-responsive venous leg ulcers on healing, pain, and quality of life. Methods Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in three HBOT units. Participants were adults with a venous leg ulcer, transcutaneous oxygen measures indicative of a hypoxic wound responsive to oxygen challenge, and who did not respond (References1.Hammarlund & Sundberg. Plastic Reconstructive Surgery. 1994;93:829-33.
