From january 1998 to january 1999, were taken seven samples from the ichthycal fauna at Coiba National Park on its northeast side; located in the Veraguas province. Our purpose was to get an inventory of main species asociated to reefs and mangrove areas. To do this inventory we used different techniques of taking samples, such as trammel and nets, plastic bags, traps, harpoon and visual census. There was done two drayage with a shrimp boat in front of “Granito de Oro”. It were collected a total of ten (10) species grouped in seven (7) families relating the cartilaginous fish and fifty seven (57) families of osseus fishes includend in one hundred and seven (107) generes and one hundred and fifty six (156) species.
