Between August 2010 and March 2011, inventories of bats was carried out done in six locations of the Copper Project concession of Minera Panamá, S.A. in the District of Donoso, Colon province. The objective was to characterize the bats in areas near of the company infrastructures and to contribute to the general knowledge of this group of mammals in the region. The bats were caught with mist nets of 12 m length by 2.6 m height, spread out in three simultaneous sites each night, with five nets in each one and placed at 0.5 m above the ground. The study recorded 419 bats, belonging to 32 species and 4 families. The Phyllostomatidae familily reported 407 individuals (97% of the captures) and 29 species (85% of total species).
