The paper brings new insights into the settlement of the Komen Karst in the Early Iron Age. Three sites already known in the archaeological literature are discussed in more detail, namely Tomaj, Štanjel and Zagrajec, where archaeological research has been carried out in recent decades in connection with construction and agricultural interventions at the site.
