Narrativas docentes e saberes pedagógicos de professores do ensino superior

The problem that underlies this article is based on the understanding that teaching in higher education requires training in the field of teaching, as it is not enough to master disciplinary knowledge. Our general objective is to investigate, according to the teaching narratives, how the teachers interviewed constitute their pedagogical knowledge. As a specific objective, we have: to understand what pedagogical knowledge is, its characteristics, as well as its importance for the development of teaching in Higher Education. The methodology adopted is qualitative. To collect the empirical data, we used the narrative interview as directed by Jovchelovitch and Bauer (2012). For the analysis of the data from the interviews, we rely on the Content Analysis developed by Bardin (2011). The results point out that the experiences lived by the teachers before the initial formation, as well as the study of the Pedagogical Theory in confrontation with the teaching practices are sources of constitution of the pedagogical knowledge of the same.A problemática que fundamenta este artigo parte do entendimento de que à docência no ensino superior requer formação no campo do ensinar, pois para ela não é suficiente o domínio dos conhecimentos disciplinares. Nosso objetivo geral é investigar, segundo as narrativas docentes, como os professores entrevistados constituem seus saberes pedagógicos. Já como objetivo específico temos: compreender o que são saberes pedagógicos, suas características, bem como sua importância para o desenvolvimento da docência no Ensino Superior. A metodologia adotada é a qualitativa. Para coleta dos dados empíricos fizemos uso da entrevista narrativa conforme orientam Jovchelovitch e Bauer (2012). Para análise dos dados oriundos das entrevistas nos amparamos na Análise de Conteúdo desenvolvida por Bardin (2011). Os resultados apontam que as experiências vivenciadas pelos professores antes da formação inicial, bem como o estudo da Teoria Pedagógica em confronto com as práticas docentes são fontes de constituição dos saberes pedagógicos dos mesmos
