Employee turnover remains one of the most tenacious and frustrating problems that hospitality firms face. This study explored how job autonomy and supervisor support are related to job satisfaction and employee turnover intention and tried to identify the role of a unique Chinese cultural variable (i.e., Hokou status). While supervisor support is an important factor for both job satisfaction and turnover intention, job autonomy is only significant for job autonomy. Neither job satisfaction nor turnover intention is related to Hokou
