New coronavirus infection COVID-19: Brief description and measures to counter its spread in Russian Federation

It is noted that 2020 will go down in history as the year of pandemia of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. The data on the number of confirmed cases of the disease and the number of deaths in the world are giv-en. Measures to counter the spread of COVID-19 in the Russian Federation are presented.
