ANÁLISE DA PERCEPÇÃO AMBIENTAL DO CONSELHO GESTOR DA UNIDADE DE CONSERVAÇÃO ESTRADA PARQUE PIRAPUTANGA-MS

ABSTRACT: Piraputanga Park Road is an Environmental Protection Area - APA that aims to reconcile the conservation of natural resources with economic development in a transition region of the Cerrado and Pantanal biomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the environmental conditions and the perception of the Management Council regarding the use of natural resources and the landscape potentialities for local tourism development. To conduct this research, a semi-structured interview with the counselors was applied and a physical and social-environmental characterization of the APA was performed as well. The results showed that activities not related to tourism, such as charcoal, predatory fishing and livestock are not so desired for the conservation unit; however, they still overlap the practice of tourism in the APA. In this sense, it is concluded that the Council understood the importance of the need for measures to improve the management of this Conservation Unit (UC), since the negative impacts on APA are due to the absence of a Management Plan and the lack of awareness and environmental education towards the local community. Apresenta-se aqui um recorte sobre os trabalhos realizados pela pesquisa de mestrado intitulada “Percepção Ambiental da APA Estrada Parque Piraputanga: A visão do Conselho Gestor”, que teve como objetivo analisar as condições ambientais e a percepção do Conselho Gestor, que representa todos os segmentos da população da referida unidade de conservação, buscando resultados que pudessem contribuir para a proposição de medidas que visem à qualidade ambiental e ao desenvolvimento sustentável, a partir da integração da população com o meio, de forma a analisar e confrontar as diferentes percepções
