Procesos socioemocionales de universitarios ante la escolarización remota de emergencia a causa de las medidas sanitarias por COVID 19

This article analyzes the socio-emotional processes of students at the university level of anxiety, anguish, stress, uncertainty, and fear related to the change from face-to-face classroom to virtual, remote schooling as part of the Mexican federal social distancing program "Stay at Home." The data was obtained from the application of the Psychosocial and Socio-Emotional Meter regarding the COVID 19 contingency (MPE-COVID 19), during the months of April and May of 2020. The traits of social interactions and cultural meanings that generate emotional alterations in university students are identified from a sociocultural perspective of the emotions. The hypothesis is that the experiences and emotional expressions of the student community are regulated by the social position they occupy in the social structure, and by their own cultural contexts. The analysis allows us to understand that the anxiety, anguish, stress, uncertainty, and fear reported by the students are not maladaptive responses that reflect a psychological vulnerability, but rather due to micro, meso and macrosocial conditions exacerbated by the health emergency.Este artículo analiza los procesos socioemocionales de estudiantes de nivel universitario que refieren experiencias de ansiedad, angustia, estrés, incertidumbre y miedo relacionadas con la migración de una escolarización presencial a una remota de emergencia como parte de las medidas del programa federal de distanciamiento social en México “Quédate en casa”. Los datos analizados fueron obtenidos a partir del diseño y aplicación del Medidor Psicosocial y Socioemocional frente a la contingencia COVID 19 (MPE-COVID 19) durante los meses de abril y mayo del 2020. Desde una perspectiva sociocultural de las emociones se identifican los rasgos de las interacciones sociales y los significados culturales que están generando alteraciones emocionales en estudiantes universitarios. La hipótesis que guía el texto es que las experiencias y expresiones emocionales de la comunidad estudiantil están reguladas por la posición social que ocupan en la estructura social y por los contextos culturales que les son propios. El análisis permite entender que la ansiedad, la angustia, el estrés, la incertidumbre y el miedo reportadas por las y los estudiantes no son respuestas desadaptativas que reflejan una vulnerabilidad psicológica, sino que obedece a condiciones micro, meso y macrosociales agudizados por la emergencia sanitaria
