Reports indicate that striatal dopaminergic damage induced by 6-hydoxydopamine (6-OHDA) can be blocked by C-terminal domain of tetanus toxin (Hc-TeTx), suggesting possible therapeutic potential of Hc-TeTx in Parkinson’s disease (PD).
