Teaching practice is an activity that plays an important role in the preparation of teachers. Teaching practice prepares student-teachers for skills mastery in the educational sector. The paper considered the concepts of teaching practice, childhood education, objectives of teaching practice, qualities of a student-teacher in teaching early child education, roles of the teaching practice to student-teachers, and the challenges of teaching practice. Recommendations were made on how teaching practice will be improved for skills mastery by organizing seminars, workshops and conferences mainly for student-teachers and educators in preparation for teaching practice.
