This paper examines malaria control strategies adopted by households in the Kassena-Nankana East and West Districts of Ghana. Primary data was obtained through a questionnaire survey among 174 respondents, who were selected from 7 communities. Indepth interviews and focus group discussions were also conducted in these communities. Secondary data from hospital records were also analysed. The analysis shows that although several malaria control programmes have been implemented in the study area, the incidence of malaria is still very high.
