Background: Adalimumab is a recombinant human IgG1 monoclonal antibody. It is a tumour necrosis factorinhibiting, anti-inflammatory, biologic medication. It binds to tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF), which normally binds to TNF receptor, leading to the inflammatory response of autoimmune disease.
