Global Overview of School Library Development and its Impact on information Literacy Skills of the School Child

The history of School Library development and the factors contributing to the growing significance of the School Library in the education system are discussed. The information literacy skills required by the school child for effective learning in the present Information Technology age are identified and discussed.
