This paper examines and discusses the status, development and growth of the informal sector, ICT access, and the information needs and seeking behaviour of informal sector workers in Kenya through literature review. It recommends more research to gain a deeper understanding of the context and information needs of small business enterprises in order to offer a strategic framework for appropriate intervention in providing information and ICT access for MSEs.Keywords: Informal sector, ICT access, Keny
