Forest resources are integral part of rural livelihood that can help the poor escape from poverty through channels of higher income from the sale of forest products. To support effective forest governance in rural communities close to forest sites, the article examined the determinants of Non-forest product livelihood participation in Ido Local Government Area Council of Oyo State. A multistage sampling technique was used in the selection of 120 households from which data was collected using structured questionnaires. Econometric results using Tobit regression revealed age of household head, non-forest income and forest income to have a positive relationship with poverty at 1% level of significance.
