A thorough knowledge of tooth morphology, careful interpretation of angled radiographs, proper access preparation and a detailed exploration of the interior of the tooth are essential prerequisites for a successful root canal treatment outcome. An assessment of the knowledge of the appropriate use of radiographs during endodontic treatment among a population of Nigerian dentists by means of a cross-sectional study was carried out.
