Aim: This study aims at the estimation of serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), Aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and glutmyltransferase GGT (Liver enzymes) in Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) and/or Acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) patients in parts of Edo State, Nigeria.Method: A total of 50 HIV/AIDS positive patients and 50 HIV/AIDS negative subjects as controls were studied from January to September, 2014. The enzymes were assayed using standard biochemical method.Result: The mean ±SD of Alkaline phosphatise for HIV/AIDS patients was significantly increased (p<0.005) when compared with the control subjects.
