Apart from its role in soil physical condition improvement, compost substantially contributes to the productivity of land as a source of plant nutrients. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of municipal household solid waste compost (MHSWC), applied alone or in combina- tion with inorganic fertilizers at different rates on the chemical properties: pH, organic carbon, available nitrogen, available phosphorus and exchangeable potassium levels of a coastal savanna Haplic Acrisol.
